Invest in your future.

Financial freedom equals financial literacy.

Simple investing tips and income strategies from options. I was tired of the rat race in corporate America, so I retired early and replaced my corporate income with income from selling options. How I approach options income

Selling options can turn the stocks you follow into a steady source of income. The goal isn't to hit home runs. It's to follow a simple, repeatable process and keep risk in check.

  1. Learn the basics

Understand what you're agreeing to when you sell an option, what you collect, and what you could owe.

  2. Choose quality stocks

Trade companies you understand and would be comfortable owning, not whatever is moving today.

  3. Collect premium with a plan

Know your entry, your exit, and what you'll do if the trade moves against you before you place it.

  4. Manage risk and repeat

Size positions sensibly, take profits when they're there, and review what worked so you get better each month.

I post every trade I take in the Stock Mom Discord as it happens. You see my entries and my exits, winners and losers, so you can follow each trade from start to finish and learn how I manage it.

  • Every entry, liveWhen I open a trade, I post it in the Discord right away.
  • Every exit, tooWhen I close it, I reply to the original post with the exit, so each trade shows how it started and how it ended.
  • Wins and lossesEvery trade gets posted, not just the good ones.

94.2% win rate

On 1,200 closed trades posted in the Discord, May 2024 to October 2026.

A high win rate doesn't guarantee a profit: one large loss can outweigh many small wins. Results aren't audited, past results don't guarantee future results, and yours will differ.

Questions about options income

Straight answers to what new members ask most.

What does it mean to sell an option?

When you sell an option, the buyer pays you a premium up front. In exchange, you take on an obligation to buy or sell a stock at an agreed price if the buyer chooses to use their option. Sellers get paid for taking on that obligation.

How can options create income?

The premium you collect when you sell an option is yours to keep, whatever happens next. By selling options regularly on stocks you understand, and managing each trade with a plan, many investors use options to add a steady stream of income to their portfolio. Losses are possible, so managing risk is part of the process.

Is selling options risky?

Yes. Every investment carries risk, and options add their own. A stock can move sharply against you, and some strategies can lose more than you put in. That's why I focus on quality stocks, sensible position sizes, and knowing your exit before you enter a trade.

Do I need experience to join Stock Mom?

No. Stock Mom is for beginners looking for simple investing tips and for intermediate and advanced traders who want to grow their income from options. The free YouTube videos and the Options Deep Dive course are good places to start.

How much does membership cost?

Monthly access to the Stock Mom Discord is $49.99 per month, with a yearly option at checkout that saves $99.88. Lifetime access is a one-time payment of $999.99. All sales are final.

Seems hard to get ahead with a small account. Can't enter alot of trades because need margin collateral. Keep pressing forward i guess.

OP

I joined the Discord just last week after following @Stock Mom on X for the longest time. I kept watching from the sidelines but never pulled the trigger until now.

Before joining, I was mainly selling CSPs and CCs on any shares I got assigned. I was always curious about PCS trades, so I finally decided to jump into a few this past week.

Honestly, having an expert like @Stock Mom handle the technical analysis and share trade ideas makes things so much easier, especially for someone like me who is still learning.

Here's what really opened my eyes: with a $10 wide spread, the maximum risk is $1,000 per contract, rather than tying up thousands of dollars in collateral with a traditional CSP.

Just look at some of the stocks I traded last week:

  • WDC: Trading around $395
  • VST: Trading around $160

I probably never would have considered selling options on these companies through CSPs because of how much capital it would require.

PCS trades open up a whole new world of opportunities, especially for those of us working with smaller portfolios. You can participate in trades on well known companies without needing the same amount of capital upfront.

Another huge benefit is that @Stock Mom isn't just sharing trade ideas and leaving us on our own. She's also here to help us navigate trades together when things don't go as planned. Knowing there's guidance available when a trade moves against you is a big part of the value of this community, especially for those of us who are still learning.

Of course, every trade carries risk, and spreads are no exception. But one of the reasons I joined this community is that @Stock Mom emphasizes capital preservation, disciplined trading, and finding opportunities to make money while helping us navigate the bumps along the way.

For anyone here with a smaller account who has been hesitant to explore spreads, I'm starting to see why they can be such a game changer.

Still learning, but excited to be here!

Sorry for the long rant, but wanted you to know, you're not alone!
